The Pack is Back

My non-Packer friends hate this phrase, and I don't know why. The Pack always is, in point of fact, back. They come back every year. Football comes back every year.

It doesn't help that the Packers are always good, and that when they win games, as they often do, their fans always refer to them as back. They are in a constant process of leaving and coming back. Such is sports. That we've come up with a handy phrase to refer to this is not a bad thing. The Pack is Back. Especially when they dominate the defending conference champion in their own stadium. Ha, ha.

Ranger reliever Frankie Francisco is going to be deported after whipping a chair at a guy and hitting his wife instead. For some reason, I find this funny. How can people not control themselves? Put that in the ledger, on the side that says, "Baseball players are dumb." More on that someday, but what really is funny is the fact that this evil dude berated Francisco into attacking him, and his wife gets a broken nose out of it. The moral of the story is once again: Do not marry jerks.
